CAL MESTRE
Cal Mestre , a stone, wooden and double-storey house located in front of the Pyrenees to enjoy feeling nature.
Cal Mestre is a house of 140 square meters located in Tuixent, in the region of Alt Urgell, which is the gate of the Catalan Pyrenees. Tuixent is a small and cosy mountain village of the southern slope of Serra del Cadí within a Natural Park called Cadí-Moixeró.
Cal Mestre was completely rebuilt in 1994 and nowadays it is made of stone and wood. The house has a small, surrounding garden and a porch with stone arches, where you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and listen to the distant sound of the cowbells grazing in the meadows.
The main facade is oriented in the southwest and it has an excellent view of the Mola river and the Arp mountains. In the place where these mountains form the valley, there is a cross-country skiing station called Tuixent-La Vansa, just eight Km from Cal Mestre.
Cal Mestre is a large house on two floors: on the first floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a large dining room with splendid views and two doors that provide direct access to the garden and the porch. On the second floor there are three double bedrooms, a bathroom and a spacious studio with direct views, which can be furnished with a double auxiliary bed. The floor and the ceiling of the second floor are also made of wood.
Cal Mestre sleeps six people (one double bed and four single beds). Furthermore, having an other double auxiliary bed in the studio is also possible, fact that increases the capacity of the house up to 8 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, a dishwasher, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a gas cooker, an extractor hood and all the small electrical appliances and necessary cooking utensils (a toaster, a squeezer, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glassware...). The dining room has a table with six chairs and there also more folding chairs available. There is also a sofa, two armchairs, a TDT television and an HI-FI stereo. The whole house has central heating for winter stays.
